Quand tu tombes...

I'm finally gonna check where I hurt myself. The truth is that I keep falling, getting up and resume running without casting a single look at my scratches. So I hurt without knowing where the pain comes from. It comes from a heartbreak, that's as simple as that. It comes from my unability to face the end of this story. From my unability to forget a man and to accept that he has stepped out of my life. From my desperate refusing to go on living with nothing but memories. I have loved him so much, and I still do. But it's all over now, and to tell the truth, nothing ever existed. We were not looking for the same things.
My Beloved never hid his passion for women, or his unwillingness to live a true love story with me because I was so much younger than him. But I wanted to live a true love story with him, no matter what, so I accepted the "deal". I hoped he would change his mind, I hoped I could change him and make him see what no women had ever made him see. But it wasn't his mind, his personality, his desires & life. I hoped I could turn him into what I wanted him to be. And I bumped against a wall a hundred, a thousand times. But I kept on trying, chasing him like a madwoman and I fell a hundred, a thousand times. Now it's time for me to sit down, lick my wounds carefully and learn something from them. I will try my best to do so. Ovid said "One day, this pain will be useful to you". I really do hope so.
